Mrs Bunmi Idowu, a Veteran and Hardworking Broadcaster of Almost 20 Years Began Her Career Of Broadcasting In Nta Lagos Channel 7 After Completing The Mandatory National Service In 1990 In The Same Establishment . Bunmi Idowu Graduated Some Years Back From The English Department Of Ondo State University Ado-Ekiti Now Ekiti State University. She is a Versatile Broadcaster News Producer, Reporter And Newscaster. She Also Presents Current Affairs Programme Tagged Issues Of The Day. Born

On The 26th Of November 1965 In Ede, Osun State To The Family Of Araoye In Ilawe-Ekiti In Ekiti State.
She Is Married To Mr Deji Idowu Who Works Also In Nta And The Relationship Has Produced 4 Beautiful Children.
With Hobbies Like Traveling, Cooking And Meeting People , Bunmi Idowu Is God Fearing Dedicated, Humble And Easy Going. She Is Currently The Acting Manager News And Current Affairs.

Elizabeth Ewuga Nee Awatt. 

A broadcast journalist by profession, she is a graduate of mass communication from Enugu State University of Science and Technology, ESUT.  She also holds a diploma in mass communication from the polytechnic, Calabar as well as a post graduate diploma in marketing from the Lagos State University LASU.  Lizzy as fondly called by her peers did her National Youth service at the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo state (BCOS) Ibadan in 1995 after which she joined the services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) in 1996.

In 1999 Elizabeth bade farewell to spinsterhood and got married to Benjamin Ewuga, a Geologist from Nasarrawa State and their marriage is blessed with three children.

As a broadcast journalist Elizabeth has made her mark in the media industry.  Apart from being a Principal Editor, Producer, Presenter and Reporter, she has covered several sensitive beats which include Governor’s Office, Judiciary, House of Assembly and crime.

She has also presented some of the station’s favourite programmes which include the defunct “Face the State” and “Issues of the day”.

A member of the Nigerian union of Journalist Lagos State Council, and currently the Chairman NUJ/NTA Lagos Channel 10 Chapel, She is also a member of the National Association of Women Journalist (NAWOJ), member Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Member Red Cross Society and NTA Lagos Channel 10 Lions club.

TAIWO ODUGBESAN

Taiwo Odugbesan is a veteran of over 2 decades in broadcasting. She began her career in the Oyo State owned Radio Oyo as a Newscaster/Presenter on Radio in 1982 with a secondary School leaving Certificate. After the merger of the State Television, T.S.O.S and Radio, Taiwo also continue as a Newscaster on Television and Radio well as programme presenter on radio.

 

She later moved to the FM station of the Radio Niger Minna between 1994/95 where she also presented musical programmes and read the News on Radio. In between these two jobs, she read and graduated from the Polytechnic Ibadan with an OND in Accountancy in 1986.

 

She moved to DBN Television in Lagos in 1997 to work as a Newscaster/Reporter.

This additional responsibility in News Reporting came about after another course at the Nigeria Institute of Journalism, where she got an advanced Diploma in Journalism in 1995/96.Her last point of employment till date is the NTA Lagos Channel 10 which she joined in April 2000 as a Newscaster/Reporter. Since then she has risen to the position of a Senior Editor. She also got a national Diploma in Mass Communication from the Nigeria Institute of Journalism in 2009.Her employment at the NTA Lagos Channel 10 has exposed her to different fields, She has worked as a Newscaster, News Reporter where She has covered many beats like Politics, Transport, Financial Reporting, Oil and Gas, Environment, Trade and Customs with her Diploma in Accountancy and experience in Financial Reporting, She produced and presented a 30minutes programme on the Nigerian Stock Exchange on the Network Service of the Nigerian Television Authority NTA.

Many of her News reports are also used to the NTA Network News.

Taiwo Odugbesan is a single parent of two lovely girls.

ABIODUN ADENIYI AKANMU

A broadcast Journalist by profession but a total theatre personality by training, with experience spanning over a decade in broadcast Journalism.

Abiodun is well versed in editorial and reporting aspect of Journalism. As a senior news editor, he has carved a niche for himself by dint of hard-work and precise journalistic judgment, Abiodun remains one of the most reliable hands on the desk.

As a reporter, he has field several reports for NTA NETWORK NEWS, NEWSLINE, AM EXPRESS and covered international assignments as a cameraman.

His is a regular face on the NTA NETWORK NEWS as a newscaster and equally presents PANORAMA also on the network service of NTA, He is currently the presenter of the programme 7 point Agenda and at different times presented CORRIDORS both on NTA Lagos Channel 10.

Apart from the robust experience in Journalism, Abiodun is a lover and practitioner of the Performing Arts. With a background in the Performing Arts from the University of Ilorin, he’s been able to exploit to the fullest his creative instinct to bring to bear on his practice as a Journalist.

He has played lead role in over 25 stage plays thereby making him a staunch advocate of the stage. He directed the play THE BOLD CHOICE by Professor Akanji Nasru for his final year project and several other short plays. He was member of the University of Ilorin choir and had featured in many operas. He led the Lagos State NYSC Drama Group to the Zonal and National Competitions in the year 2000.

Abiodun is a dance aficionado, Director, Actor, Singer, News producers, Scriptwriter, Cameraman and News Editor. He is a recipient of many awards in both Journalism and the Theater Arts.

He won the BEST ACTOR award of the Performing Arts Student Association (PASA), 1999,

*CERTIFICATE OF COMMENDATION, LAGOS NYSC, 2000.

*CORPORATE COMMENDATION NTA, 2004.To mention a few.

Abiodun is an active member of the Nigerian union of Journalists, NUJ. He presently the secretary of the union in NTA Lagos. He also belongs to the Lions club, NTA Lagos.

His ambition is to go into academics to impact knowledge in the areas of media and the Performing Arts.

Abiodun is happily married with children.

 
 
 

Kafayat Abiodun Odunsi

A young vibrant reporter.She is a graduate of French Language from Lagos State University, Ojo and has a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration from Olabisi Onobanjo University , Ogun State.


Kafayat joined NTA in 2009 . She worked at NTA channel 5 network centre before her transfer to NTALagos Channel 10.
She is presently the Lagos State House of Assembly correspondent.


Althuogh , Kafayat is a trained linguist , her aim is to carve a niche for herself in broadcasting by covering international assignments where her knowledge in French language couls be put to use.
