
GENERAL MANAGER MR.
SUNDAY OWOLABI
Sir Sunday Olaitan Owolabi
assumed the leadership of NTA Lagos Channel 10
as General Manager on May 21st, 2009 after a
32-year stint in broadcasting environment as an
accountant.
Born on the 28th of June, 1953 to the family of
Pa John Owolabi and Mama Subuola Owolabi, Sir S.
O. Owolabi joined the services of the Nigerian
Television Authority, Ibadan on the 15th of
April, 1977 as an accounting officer.
After his primary education at Eti-Oni via Ilesa,
secondary school education was completed in
record time at Hope Grammar School, Ilesa in
1971. For lack of finances, he had to work at
various organizations to assist his parents and
siblings until 1977 when he joined the Nigerian
Television Authority, Ibadan.
Sir Olaitan Owolabi attended Yaba
College of Technology between 1978 and 1980
where he obtained an Ordinary National Diploma
in Accountancy and later proceeded to The
Polytechnic Ibadan between 1981 and 1983 and
obtained a Higher National Diploma in
Accountancy (Upper Credit). He crowned it all
with Master in Business Administration MBA
(Financial Management) after
having attended Federal
University of Technology, Owerri (1998 – 2000).
Sir Olaitan Owolabi is a fellow
of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of
Nigeria (FCA), Member of the Nigerian Institute
of Management (MNIM),
Associate Member of Chartered
Institute of Taxation (ACTI), Member Institute
of Management Consultant of Nigeria
Sir Olaitan Owolabi became a
Knight of St Augustine (KSA) in 1999 at Aba.
Honour bestowed on him by Rt Rev (Prof) Iwuagu,
the Bishop of Anglican Diocese, Aba.
Awarded Honorary Doctorate Degree
in Science (Financial Management) by Bradley
University USA in March 2010
Sir Owolabi worked in several
units of the Accounts department of Nigerian
Television Authority and rose through the ranks
to the post of Deputy Director of Finance before
being appointed the General Manager of NTA Lagos
Channel 10, Lagos.
Sir Olaitan Owolabi is married
with children and likes listening to Music. He
loves traveling, gardening and meeting people. |

it. Women of substance and achievements
are rear gem in their own right.
For Mrs.
Elizabeth Iyabosola Aina-Scott, (a veteran
Public Relations and Communication expert, TV
personae of impeccable repute and ingenuity),
the administration of NTA Lagos Channel 10, in
the last two years under her leadership, has
become a source of emulation for those who
cherish professionalism to the core.
Born on 1st
January, 1954, to the family of Mrs. Elizabeth
Aina-Scott, the present General Manager of NTA
Lagos, began her service career with the
Nigerian Television
Authority on November 1st, 1980 as a Public
Relations Officer. |

PROGRAMMES MRS. HELEN ONMA ODELEYE
Mrs. Helen Onma
Jumoke Odeleye is of Benue State origin, married
to a yoruba man from Oyo State. A true
Nigerian who loves traveling and making friends,
speaks fluently the three major Nigerian
languages.
Graduated several
years back from the Theatre Arts Department of
the University of Jos. Also an Alumni of
the Train the Trainers Institute, Hilverson in
the Neitherlands. Began this most exciting
career of broadcasting in NTA Benin after
completing the mandatory National Service in
1983. She had a brief sting as a Lecturer at the
Television College in Jos. Joined the NTA Lagos
Channel 10 Team in 1993. |

CHIEF ACCOUNTANT MRS. FRANCA AKINNEYE
Born on 19th
November 1961, in Lagos to the family of Fugar
in Etsako Central in Edo state . She attended
our lady of Fatima Primary School Lagos and
Marywood Girls Grammer School Ebute-Metta Lagos,
in 1978 she proceeded to Adeola Odutola College
Ijebu Ode for Higher School Certificate ( HSC)
in 1980. After her A level. She worked for a
year in Federal Ministry of Industries as Asst.
Library Officer.
1982 she left for
Auchi Polytechnic Auchi (now) Federal
Polytechnic Auchi for OND and HND respectively
in 1983 and 1986. For her NYSC she served in
Sulamion & Co. Kaduna a Firm of Chartered
Accountants. |

ENGINEERING MRS. BEATRICE DOJA OLADELE
Mrs. Beatrice
Adedoja Oladele (MNSE) started her career in
Engineering at the Ondo State Television, Akure,
on the 16th of September, 1983. This was
immediately after the completion of her National
Youth Service Corps programme in the same
organization.
She later
transferred her services to the Nigerian
Television authority, NTA Ikeja, the then
Channel 7, on the 2nd of October, 1986. This
quiet, easy going and unassuming woman is the
brain behind the clean signals and wide reach of
NTA Lagos. |

ASSISTANT
MANAGER ADMIN/TRAINING MR ETIM UDO
MR. ETIM, S.R
Born on the 1st of June 1969,to the family of
Mr. Sylvester and Philomena Etim, both retired
Civil Servants, Mr. Etim Sunday Richard obtained
his First School Leaving Certificate with
distinction from the Holy Cross Primary School
from 1975-1981.
He attended Hope High School Lagos for his Secondary School
Education where he graduated in 1986 and
proceeded to the University of Calabar in 1987,
after a year’s working stint with the National
Commission for Museums and Monuments, Onikan
Lagos.
At the University of Calabar, he obtained a second class
upper honour degree in sociology and observed
the mandatory one year National Youth Service
Corps programme in Burutu. Delta State from
1991-1992.
Joined the service of Nigeria Television Authority on the 1st
of December, 2004 rising trough the ranks to
finally arriving at his present position of
Asst. Manager Admin. on 1st of
January,2008.,
An easy going, amiable and always willing to lend a helping
hand, his hobbies include reading, traveling,
making friends and soccer.
A practicing Christian, he is married to Florence Etim and
the union is blessed with wonderful children. |

MANAGER MR. JIMOH RAHEEM
He was born on 7th
July, 1959 at Omungo Oke-Oro in Ifelodun Local
Government Area of Kwara State. He
attended Oke-Oro Community Primary School from
1969 – 1974. Government Secondary School
Omu-Aran 1974/75 – 1978/79.
He joined the
Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) Minna,
Niger State on 9th September, 1980 as an Account
Clerk. He went for further studies at
Polytechnic of Sokoto State Birnin Kebbi,
Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Ogba, Ikeja.

ASSISTANT
MANAGER PROGRAMMES HAJIA AMINAH MUHAMMAD
A
versatile, prolific and hard working broadcaster
of over Twenty Seven years, has worked in
various capacities before becoming an Assistant
Manager Programmes of NTA. Hajia Aminah
Muhammad is a woman whose multi tasking ability
of combining production, directing, camera
operation, scripting, presentation, editing and
her managerial skills stands her out among her
colleagues. A team player with excellent
leadership qualities, she is a role model to the
young and upcoming broadcasters and ever willing
to encourage and motivate them.
Her
effort in creating and producing whirlwind, an
adventurous drama programme for the youth in the
80s signaled her creative qualities as a young
producer. She has since surpassed that feat
particularly with the multiple awards winning
TODAY’S BABY she designed to address CHILD AND
MATERNAL CARE (The only one on any Nigerian
Television) in the country broadcast on NTA
Network/International. Her proactive qualities
also come to play in securing sponsorship for
programmes. She is a veteran in designing
programmes to suite the client’s needs. As an
ICT enthusiast, she is ever so willing in
getting updated on the current trend in the
global media. She has been able to secure
sponsorship from the likes of VITAFOAM Nig Plc,
DANGOTE Group of Companies, COSMOS COMPUTERS,
WAMCO Nig. Plc. EVANS MEDICAL Plc, EARO
CONTRACTORS Airline, NESTLE Nig. Plc, Oba Oniru
of Iru Land to mention but a few.
She
has produced over twenty short documentaries for
A.M Express. The pioneer producer of stations
flagship programmes, Corridors, Businessday with
NTA broadcast on the Network Services which
featured Chief Executive Officers of companies.
This unique woman can produce and direct
documentaries, magazine programmes, live talk
shows and children programmes. A sociable and
amiable broadcaster interacts with everyone
irrespective of status in the society. As a
prolific presenter of programmes, she does
in-depth research on any topic to be anchored.
The dexterity with which she anchored Today’s
Baby held lovers of the programme constantly
asking for more. This attracted the interest
of UN bodies like UNICEF and the World Health
Organization. Today’s Baby was a must view for
families, particularly mothers which has been on
NTA for almost eight years.
One, would hardly measure her extreme love for
culture. On the wakeup call of NTA Lagos
focusing on mostly indigenous programmes, she
designed and produced Asa Ibile Wa, a Yoruba
magazine programme highlighting our cultural
heritage in 2008. She produced a special
Documentary on COMBIT AFRICA 2009 as part of her
ICT assignments. Bagged two prizes from the 2009
CHILDREN ARTS AND SCIENCE EXPO held at Abuja as
the leader of the contingent. The Production of
a special documentary of Television at FIFTY in
2009, one of her recent creative works was well
applauded. INSIDE MARKET, new from her
stable, x-rays the potentials inherent in most
markets in the Lagos metropolis, done in Pidgin
English, is bound to hold viewers spellbound
with its uniqueness. She applies different
strategies to achieve results on any given
assignment. This is coming to fore as the
Chairperson of The Stations EVENTS COMMITTEE
2010.
Hajia Aminah Muhammad, an alumnus of University
of Ibadan believes in world class media content,
she aims for excellence and does not easily give
up in the face of challenges. Goes through
everything it takes or ensures results are
achieved in spite of all odds. She has unequal
record of always meeting her target. She however
cannot stand sluggish and lazy people and has a
weakness of expecting too much from others which
earned her the nick name of “EFICO” from her
school days. This humble wife, unassuming mother
of all and easy going achiever is truly a unique
and creative woman of excellence. |
